Climate change is a global challenge and to meet it we need an approach that has both local roots and global reach. RePay International’s ClimaCount carbon offset scheme has already reached many consumers and businesses in countries where payment cards are a part of daily life. By taking yet another step and making the ClimaCount scheme available on a global scale, we aim to empower people all over the world to lead climate-friendly lives.
RePay takes a worldwide approach to carbon offsetting. We forge partnerships across borders with organisations and companies that are dedicated to tackling climate change effectively. The carbon compensation programmes used by our ClimaCount scheme are situated in parts of the world where they yield the best results for the planet. And payment cards connected to the scheme are available in more countries across the globe than ever.
Building on our experience in the Netherlands with the success of the Visa GreenCard, we have expanded the distribution network of our ClimaCount carbon offset scheme to Europe and beyond. The ClimaCount scheme is now available to Visa Europe’s Commercial Card clients across Europe, and it will be rolled out in the United States of America in 2010.
